Lorin Gold is a senior consultant and coach, and co-owner of The Schutz Company, consultants and publishers specializing in human performance, headquartered near New York City. The Schutz Company partners with companies to create dynamic, resilient cultures where individual, teams, and organizations achieve their goals and reach their full potential using our proprietary methodology — The Human Element®. Lorin develops and supports the professional network of Licensed Human Element Practitioners and delivers consulting, training, and coaching to organizations to produce results through change projects.

Lorin has extensive experience both as a consultant and a leader. In the not-for-profit world, she led multiple programs including Global Classroom, a program that trained international students to educate children and teens about their countries and cultures in New York City public schools. In addition, she developed and directed the International Student Leadership Network, a program for U.S. and international students to learn about leadership, teamwork, and project management. This included conducting workshops, action learning projects, and annual retreats.

Her for-profit work includes UBS, where she trained, coached, and consulted to financial advisor and branch management teams to implement firm-wide change from an individual to a team-based client service strategy. Lorin trained and consulted with over 200 teams in business development and communication skills as well as coaching over 30 branch managers in communication and business strategy. This work resulted in teams with 19% higher revenue growth and 9% higher asset growth than the firm average.

Lorin holds a Masters degree in Organizational Psychology from Teachers College at Columbia. Her credentials include: Licensed Human Element® Practitioner, she is also certified in Q Coaching, The Human Element in Customer Service®, LIFO® as well as MBTI, Thomas Kilman Confict Instrument, PEAT, Leo Pusateri’s Value Proposition Ladder, and has trained at the International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution (ICCCR) at Teachers College in New York.
